The Shiants

Our day trips depart from Stornoway around 9:00am and take you towards the Shiants. These islands lie off the coast of Lewis and Harris and are home to more than ½ a million puffins and thousands of guillemots and razorbills and recently sea eagles have been seen around their cliffs.

Arriving at the Shiants we sail round these islands viewing the natural arches, sea caves and sheer basalt cliffs that are teeming with wildlife before anchoring off Eilean an Tighe where we will have lunch. After lunch we will land at a suitable point and allow you to wander and explore these charming islands.

Early evening sees us sailing back to harbour in Stornoway in plenty of time for you to enjoy an evening meal at one of the towns many restaurants (not included in the price).

An overnight cruise is also available, after our visit to the Shiants we will go to anchor in one of the many remote lochs on the East side of Lewis or Harris. Evening meal will be served on board. After breakfast the following morning we will set sail back to Stornoway.
